DESCRIPTION:This year’s ACT-SO competition will be held on Saturday\, April 26th at Franklin High School 500 Elizabeth Ave\, Somerset\, NJ.  and will begin at 9am. Bergen County has 8 students presenting at this year’s competition.\n\nWhat is ACT-SO?\nIt is a life changing youth enrichment program. ACT-SO is an acronym that stands for Afro- Academic\, Cultural\, Technological and Scientific Olympics. It is a student enrichment program that culminates in a local and national competition where High School students compete for scholarship awards\, and prizes totaling over $300\,000. It seeks to promote the following among high school students:\n\nPositive self-esteem\nPositive interaction between our youth and the adult professional community\nPositive academic and artistic excellence\nHigh academic and cultural achievement
